Welcome to Sienna & Slate

Sienna & Slate is not a productivity system, a wellness escape, or a motivational platform. We don’t offer hacks, hype, or surface-level self-care, and we don’t ask you to abandon ambition in the name of balance. This work is for capable, thoughtful people who are ready to stop performing and start living in alignment. We combine disciplined reflection, embodied practice, and clear thinking so you can unlearn self-limiting stories, do meaningful work, and build a life that holds up over time.

Why Sienna & Slate?

The name itself reflects the vision; Sienna, from the color of clay, symbolizing the means of conveying a story through creativity, expression, and grounding. Slate, a stone representing resilience, permanence, and rewriting narratives on a blank slate.

  • We understand how difficult, lonely, transformative, awesome, and exhilarating the creative journey can be.
  • We understand the joys and challenges that come from being on the creative journey.
  • We are dedicated to curate products and spaces where people can rediscover their passion, balance productivity with self-care, and thrive in both their professional and personal lives.
  • Whether you’re a scholar, writer, leader, artist, or anything in between we craft meaningful products to help you think deeply, work intentionally, and live with balance.

At Sienna & Slate We Believe:

  • People are not broken. Struggle doesn’t mean failure, it signals opportunity to unlearn and align.
  • Worth is inherent. You don’t need to earn approval, you already matter.
  • Stories shape us. But they don't have to define you. They can be reworked, released, and unlearned.
  • Integrity matters. Live and create aligned with your values.
  • Growth is nonlinear. Progress involves pauses, resistance, and reflection, moving in waves.
  • Safety enables honesty. Real insight happens when judgment and shame are absent.
  • The body knows what the mind cannot. Embodied awareness guides understanding, choice, and action.
  • Depth over speed. Thoughtful, intentional reflection is more transformative than rushing toward outcomes.
  • Creativity is a practice, not performance. Expression is meaningful when it’s authentic, not for applause.
  • Belonging doesn’t require sameness. True community supports difference while holding connection.

Meet the Team

Keondria McClish Boyd, Ph.d., CFLE

Keondria McClish-Boyd is an author, educator, and entrepreneur. After accepting that her work is much bigger than chasing academic appointments and titles, she decided to trade the academic hustle for a life of her own that is purposeful and creates spaces for those within and beyond academia. Her journey has led her to focus on her most recent work, Endarkened Narrative Inquiry, and create Sienna and Slate, a reflective space for the ambitious, nearly burned-out, and wildly creative to slow down, reconnect, and work in rhythm with their genius.

Stephanie Hinton
