The Ritual Guide -- Becoming
You are already in the process of becoming. Most days, you just do not have time to notice it.
The Ritual Guide -- Becoming is a 30-prompt companion designed to slow you down long enough to see what is already happening beneath the pace of your days. Not who you are performing. Not who you are trying to be. Who you actually are, right now, in the middle of everything.
This is the first guide in The Ritual series. Each guide introduces a theme, a season, a direction, a specific layer of honest reflection. The prompts do not tell you what to think. They create the conditions for you to notice what is already there.
How it works
Open to a prompt when you are ready. Light your candle. Write in your journal. Move through the prompts at whatever pace the practice requires. Some will take an afternoon, some will take a week, and some you will return to more than once. There is no wrong pace and no expiration on any of these prompts.
The guide works alongside The Ritual Journal but does not require it. Any journal will do. The Ritual Journal works better.
The methodology behind The Ritual
The Ritual is a methodology grounded in Endarkened Narrative Inquiry -- a framework that centers embodied, relational, and inherited knowledge as legitimate sources of understanding. These prompts are not exercises designed to optimize your thinking. They are invitations to examine the stories shaping your life and decide what you want to do with them.

Most people are thinking. Very few are paying attention.
The ritual kit
Most journals ask you to write more.
This one asks you to pay attention.
The Ritual centers lived experience as a source of knowledge. It creates space to slow down, notice what’s been shaping you, and return to yourself with more clarity and honesty.
You are not starting over here.
You are coming back to what has been there all along.

When you slow down, you start to see differently.
-Your thoughts aren’t just moving. You begin to notice where they come from and what keeps returning
-You’re no longer staring at a blank page, wondering what to say. You’re responding to what is already there.
-What once felt confusing starts to take shape. Not because everything is solved, but because you’re paying attention.
-You’re not writing just to write. You’re uncovering what’s been shaping you, and deciding what stays.
Frequently Asked Questions
The Ritual Kit is for writers, thinkers, and doers who are building something that matters, but feel scattered or disconnected while doing it. If you’re moving from one thing to the next and don’t have space to think, this gives you a simple daily ritual to slow down, reflect, and stay grounded in what you’re creating.
Yes. The prompt booklet does the hard part of getting started. You don't need to know what to write -- just light the candle, open to today's prompt, and let it lead you in. Some days you'll write three words. Some days three pages. Both count.
The products -- like The Ritual Kit-- are the physical tools for your daily practice. The Practices are offerings that go deeper into specific patterns and themes, like perfectionism, comparison, or burnout. The two work well together, but you don't need one to use the other.
